My journey as a storyteller began with my love for reading where simply cracking open a book provided instant escape into worlds unknown.

It wasn’t until I became a tour guide at Big Bus Tours Miami at the age of 21 that my love for stories was launched into its next chapter... It was from on top of a double decker bus, fourteen feet up in the air, that I noticed how much more to Miami, and the world, there was than meets the eye. It was as if I was looking at my home for the first time all over again. Constantly bombarded by new information, I was astounded by how much stranger truth could be than fiction. I began to read more about the past. Equipped with a microphone, I was set free to share my personal anecdotes of being a Miami native along with my insatiable curiosity for my home’s history.

As I cultivated a love for public speaking, I realized that the art of storytelling was at its best when those stories were shared. It is people who create stories and therefore, people who most benefit from hearing them.
